Crystals look most realistically in the video, so I highly recommend watching it. You can find a video in the gallery along with photos.
“Precious Moments” – Crystallized Sculpture
Measurements (LxWxH) 7″(17cm) x 5″(12cm) x 10″(25cm)
“It must have been the warmest weekend ever! Summer holidays are about to end, but you still have so much to do! You’re playing in sand, running on the grass with shoes off and then you stumble across wild strawberries. Of course, they’ve been waiting for you because little fairies grew some just to make you happy. And they will help you throughout the life, just keep believing!”
The original artwork is sculpted from Сosclay (flexible polymer clay) and crystallized. I also use acrylic paints pigments, metal and varieties of other materials. I grow crystals directly on the sculpture. Actually, crystals never ask how they should grow 🙂 They often grow pretty randomly. Although their behavior depends on the weather, temperature, humidity, pressure, magnetic field and God knows what else. Even sounds can influence the algorithm of crystal growth. That’s why I do my best to play good music for them 🙂 It would not be an exaggeration to say that the Universe itself participates in the process of creating each sculpture. That makes each piece especially unique.
Any questions? I’m happy to help!
